Wednesday 26th February (night prior to the conference)

There was a complimentary welcome reception that took place on Wednesday 26th from 6.30 to 7.30pm at the City Chambers. We also held a PhD event to give other PhD students and early careers researchers the chance to get to know each other before the conference started. This was in the form of a ghost walking tour called Hidden & Haunted.

The tour was a chilling way to explore Edinburgh after dark – and underground. Strictly adult-only, the ghost tour was a short, sharp shock – into the capital’s unsavoury past. To find out more about the tour please click here (if you dare!!) The event was free but places were LIMITED! To reserve your place please select the option on the conference registration form or email conference@bpos.org

Abstract submission

Abstract submission is closed. Successful delegates were notified by Monday 9th December 2019.

Call for papers (research)

The Executive Committee invite submission of structured abstracts for oral and poster presentations of no more than 250 words comprising: Background, Aims, Methods, Results and Conclusions. Abstracts should be submitted by our online submission system.

Service innovation papers

We would like to showcase excellent clinical, educational, integrational and good practice initiatives at the conference in the form of oral or poster presentations. Delegates wishing to present their work this way should submit an abstract of no more than 250 words describing their work (this does not need to be structured). The scientific committee will assess the merit of these abstracts separately from the main call for papers (described above). Abstract submissions along with title, full name and affiliation of authors should be sent to Sarah Dickinson (BPOS secretary) secretary@bpos.org by Monday 18th November 2019 and presenters will know if they are successful by Monday 9th December 2019.
