End of life care and practitioner development & wellbeing

19th-20th March 2015, Leeds

The 2015 BPOS conference was hosted at Leeds Beckett University (formerly Leeds Metropolitan University) on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th March 2015.  The dual-theme of the conference was ‘End of life care and practitioner development and wellbeing’ and we welcomed an excellent range of speakers. Keynote speakers included on day 1 Prof. Mike Bennett (University of Leeds UK) and Dr Stephen Barclay (University of Cambridge), with Dr Max Henderson (Kings College London) giving the keynote on day 2.

A fantastic variety of oral presentations and posters were given on both days.  On day 2 there were two workshops offered as part of the programme: “Acceptance and Commitment Therapy” (facilitated by Dr Nick Hulbert-Williams) and a panel debate on “Challenging clinical issues and decisions in end of life care”.
