Presentation Guidelines

Please see below the guidance for poster, e-poster and oral presentations for the British Psychosocial Oncology Society Annual Conference 2019.

ORAL

  • Please see the draft conference programme for the day and time of your presentation.
  • Each oral presentation will last 10 minutes with 5 minutes for questions at the end.
  • Please rehearse your talk to make sure it will fit comfortably into the available time.
  • Please email your PowerPoint presentation to conference@bpos.org by Tuesday 26th February 2019. Please also ensure that you bring a copy of your presentation with you to the conference on a memory stick and that you arrive at your meeting room at least 20 minutes before the start of your session (or an appropriate break in the programme) in order to familiarise yourself with the room and upload your presentation.

E-POSTER

  • Please see the draft conference programme for the day and time of your presentation.
  • 3 minute presentation with 2 minutes for questions at the end.
  • E-poster to be displayed as either 1 PowerPoint slide or 4 short PowerPoint slides (Introduction, Aims, Methods, and Conclusion).
  • The fun thing about E-posters is that you can convey information that would not necessarily be possible with a traditional printed poster. For example, by including brief video clips or animated charts/graphs etc.
  • Please email your e-poster to conference@bpos.org by Tuesday 26th February 2019. Please also ensure that you bring a copy of your presentation with you to the conference on a memory stick and that you arrive at your meeting room at least 20 minutes before the start of your session (or an appropriate break in the programme) in order to familiarise yourself with the room and upload your presentation.
  • In addition to your e-poster presentation, you may also have a physical poster displayed if you wish. Please follow the guidelines below for poster printing instructions.
