We have two bursaries available for the conference, one PhD student bursary and one consumer bursary. To be eligible for the student bursary, you must be a registered PhD student at the time of the conference and you must submit an abstract. To be eligible for the consumer bursary, you must be a service user who has, or has had, a diagnosis of cancer, or be a carer for someone who has had a diagnosis of cancer. These bursaries will cover the cost of full conference registration (both days including accommodation), conference dinner and second class travel to the conference (up to a maximum of £150).

The deadline to apply for both bursaries is Monday 19th November 2018 you will be notified if you have been successful by Friday 7thDecember 2018.

If you wish to apply for the student bursary please email Lorraine Warrington (BPOS Treasurer) treasurer@bpos.org with your name, place of study, year of study, title of presentation and a statement of why you wish to attend the conference. Please note – you must have submitted an abstract to be eligible for the student bursary. The bursary will be awarded to the student whose abstract achieves the highest rating from the scientific committee (this is done blind to authorship).  In the event of a tie the decision will be based on the submitted statement.
