The British Psychosocial Oncology Society (BPOS) is a multi-disciplinary organisation founded in 1983. Its aims are to advance education and research in psychosocial oncology and to promote increased knowledge of this subject within oncology.
BPOS organises a lively annual conference with international speakers, where new research findings are presented and developments in the field debated. Specialist one-day meetings are also held once or twice a year.
We warmly welcome new members from any professional group and urge those interested in the psychological and social factors associated with cancer to join us!
All members receive the twice-yearly newsletter containing national and international highlights in the field and enjoy reduced registration fees at society events. Full members additionally receive the monthly international journal of Psycho-Oncology.
